My name is Nina, and I have lived in Scotland with my husband and our four daughters for 17 years.
Originally from Bordeaux, I have always been a city dweller. We spent 11 years in Edinburgh before moving into a small house near my husband's family sheep farm in the Borders.
It's a real return to his roots for him, and I was keen to offer my children a different kind of freedom from what I experienced in the city.
There's something magical about being able to open the door and let my children go off and explore the forest or the hills by themselves.

My name is Deborah, and I’ve been living in Nantes for a few years. I live here with my husband Axel and our three daughters, aged 7, 5, and 9 months.
We are a very close-knit family, and we spend a lot of time all five of us together. We love doing things together: crafts, cooking, going to recharge our batteries on the Atlantic coast, eating a butter and sugar crepe in the street, reading books, watching family movies, seeing friends, simply enjoying life, but always close together (except when the parents need a break 🤭)

A year ago, we fell in love with a house that needed complete renovation and we decided to leave the city to move to the countryside. We wanted our little Joey to be able to play outside and be more in tune with nature and the seasons.

After almost 3 years at home together, in early September 2023, we went back to school (Léonard to preschool) and work.

My little trick for spending time with each of them is to offer them, in turn, to bake a sweet treat with me for a snack.
If I had to find a ritual that makes our lives easier, it would probably be bedtime, which we try to stick to.
