I'm Aurélie, almost 40 years old, in a relationship with my partner for 15 years, and we are parents to 4 children.
Lenni is 14, Emmy and Charli are our 11-year-old twins, and the youngest, Billi, is 3.
We live in the South of France, specifically in a small village in the Var!
With Billi's arrival, I decided to become a stay-at-home mom, and I thrive in this role despite all the complexities it can entail.
I am very interested in child development, education, and everything related to the world of childhood.
Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, I opened an online store, a small fashion and decor concept store for children. I always tried to unearth original items, French creations and brands, and many artisanal creations. That's how I discovered Ma Cabane à rêves, it was love at first sight!
What is your biggest dream?
I'm going to talk about my biggest dream as a woman and a mother: to travel around the world with my children!
I love travel, discovery, and the emotions one feels when facing the unknown and the immensity of the world. It's something that makes me feel alive and well-grounded!
We usually go camping with the kids. Last year, we spent 6 weeks in Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands...,
This year, we're spending 2 months in England, Scotland, and Wales, still in a camper van, and in 2024, we're aiming for a backpacking road trip in Asia!
A place where you love to gather with family?
The place where I think everyone feels good is our home, our house!
We like staying at home; everyone does what they want, or we do things all together, it doesn't matter, but we feel very good there, like a cocoon.
We bought this house in 2010 and have since completely modified and transformed it. A passion for wood and decor, a handy husband, and our house looks like a real little wooden cabin!
What are the little everyday pleasures you enjoy sharing with your family?
We are a very close-knit family, we love spending time together, all 6 of us. Having 2 out of 4 children with health problems has pushed us to excel as parents and to adapt as a family. This has brought us closer and strengthened our bonds. We communicate a lot with the children; they know everything that's happening in the family, and we trust each other. Even though the 3 older ones are entering adolescence, there is a lot of respect and love. Every evening, all six of us eat dinner together at the table; that's something very important to us.
My daughter and the youngest child love to cook together, the children often do DIY projects with their dad, and we love to watch movies when Billi is napping or in bed! Very simple things, really!
We'd love to hear your secrets / tips for managing your daily life as parents. Any little rituals you'd like to share with us?
Our biggest secret and our family's greatest strength: it's our relationship! I don't know if that's very original, but for us, it's what saves our daily life with 4 children.
We are truly a close-knit couple, friends/lovers, and we never argue. We have a lot of respect and admiration for each other and agree on how to raise our children. This is a real strength because the children feel it, and we both stand united against life's difficulties!
Otherwise, for little tips, I would say to establish precise and clear boundaries with the children, to have family meetings to discuss problems or new rules, to try to share even short moments with each child, to communicate a lot, and our secret weapon is: HUMOR!
For us, humor is inseparable from our parenting; we love sarcasm and teasing the children. It helps to defuse certain situations and maintain good spirits every day!
What future do you want to offer your children? What values do you want to instill in your children?
Honestly, we're not parents who like to make plans for the future; we're more rooted in the present.
Our son, Charli, who was 8 at the time, had to fight cancer in 2020. Needless to say, that brought a lot of things into question, a real awakening about life.
So no, I don't expect anything and don't wish to give them anything other than to instill in them a love for living their lives to the fullest, however they understand and desire it.
My greatest success as a parent is for my children to feel free to do and be whoever they want, and if I can also pass on a love for travel and adventure, I'll have succeeded completely!

How did you hear about Ma Cabane à Rêves?
Ma Cabane à Rêves and I met beautifully on Instagram. When I opened my online store more than 5 years ago, I was looking for new, original brands in the children's world.
I wanted designers not yet known on the market with a distinct and recognizable universe, and I fell in love with Ma Cabane à Rêves!
Since then, I've gotten to know Amandine, the founder, and we've been exchanging ideas for over 5 years.
I take great pleasure in watching the brand grow and constantly evolve.
What do you like about Ma Cabane à Rêves and why?
What touches me most about Ma Cabane à Rêves is that the brand caters to the whole family. That's a real strength!
Parents and children can have a great time with the boards and magnets that Amandine offers.
A variety of themes with beautiful illustrations are available, and everyone can find something they like among Ma Cabane à Rêves products.
I like the soft colors used, and the brand constantly develops new products that blend perfectly into our homes.
If you had to name 3 brands you love above all others?
It's a really difficult question, the world of childhood is so vast, it would be reductive to only name 3 brands.
I am very attached to craftsmanship, so brands that make wooden toys or decorations, for example, in a traditional way and in France, attract me much more!
For clothes, I will be sensitive to the material used, comfort and style. Spanish brands like Bobo Choses or Tinycottons, with strong and colorful pieces, are my preference, but I remain very sensitive to young French brands that are trying to make a name for themselves in the children's fashion market!
And of course, Ma cabane à Rêves remains in the top 3 for fun and educational materials for children!!!!
If Ma Cabane à Rêves were to develop your dream children's product, what would that product be?
Construction vehicle magnets!!! My 3-year-old son is a fan, and I'm sure it would be a huge hit with many children.
There are already some, just like with animals, but with Ma Cabane à rêves' poetic illustrations and soft colors, it could be a great idea!
Would you recommend our products with your eyes closed? Why? To whom?
