Ma Cabane à Rêves kits are a very versatile medium, opening up a multitude of avenues for self-expression!
I often use games (like small dolls or Playmobil®) or drawing in my sessions with children. But I like to vary my tools to keep the sessions fun and motivating.
Not only do the magnets' aesthetics make them naturally very appealing, and children often spontaneously start playing with them (in the waiting room or while I'm talking to their parent), but they are also a real working tool.
Thanks to the blackboard and magnets, I can find alternative approaches: offering writing to a child who doesn't want to express themselves orally, or encouraging them to create a dynamic scene by moving their magnets, writing, and erasing.
The written trace is relativized because it is meant to be erased, and the combination of writing and magnets opens a fantastic door to creativity, as the child is allowed to write on "a toy" and thus bring together various worlds.
It is a truly transitional tool that can be used very differently according to needs.
